broken heart

"Guard Your Heart" by Jon Mohr

The human heart is easily sayed
and often betrayed
at the hand of emotion
We dare not leave the outcome to chance;
we must choose in advance
or live in agony
such needless tragedy

There always been a time in your life in which you feel betrayed, disappointed and hearts broken like fallen glass. The pain of feeling betrayed or mocked at or misunderstood is brutal yet we face it all the time during the course of our life. What do you do when you are faced with a situation where you are put into the corner, misunderstood yet helpless. You wanted to cry but unable to shed a tear. Your face changes; the glow is gone yet the situation did not turn around. This is the feeling i am going through right now: I felt helpless and i could feel my heart crying or "bleeding" inside. How i wish God could take me away at this very moment, leave this dark place away from all the words that have hurt me. There are points in our life, where we feel like we don't belong anymore or heavy situations making us feel weary and filled with agony. You felt your heart broken into pieces and even if it is healed, you can still see the cracks.

I guess this is the part of life. The part where it is suppose to make us stronger, and at the same time giving full permission to our Lord up there full authority to heal and comfort us. However, can we prevent these feeling of agony to strike through our hearts, can we protect our own heart from "bleeding"? Then i come across this verse Proverbs 4:23, "above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life". On top of that, I was taught to be a "Lady of Conviction", being a lady that gives the Lord permission to renew her mind on a daily basis.

It is thus important to renew our minds every day, and above all that, to guard our heart. You will never know when is the day, someone, maybe closest to you will hurt you whether it is emotionally through words or physically.

Realistically though, once hearts is broken, it will be healed but does the crack goes away?
